1 year old!

Wow. My baby is 1 year old. A lot has happened since my last post!

Our plans
We are officially moving to Arizona! We have an apartment that will be ready for us July 10th. We plan to go sometime around there. The apartment is San Prado and is right next to the med school which will be really nice. We are excited for the move, but sad to leave all of our family here behind. We will miss being so close to everyone.
Bed bugs
Lydia was starting to get bites all over her. First, I saw them on her knee. Then they were on her hands, eye, and arms. I couldn't figure out where in the world she was getting the bites, but I noticed she had more every time she woke up from a nap or in the morning when she woke up. I looked all over her room and couldn't find anything. I was ripping everything apart for any sign of any bug. I googled it and they looked like they might be bed bugs but I doubted there would be one in a crib mattress.
I looked even harder, and found one. It was disgusting. We found a live bed bug hiding in Lydia's crib pads(on the side of her crib). It also had eggs. We bagged it up and took it to the office. They came and looked around and couldn't find more, but they called in an exterminator. We had to bag everything up, empty drawers and closets, wash everything, turn furniture upside down, flip mattresses up, and vacuum to get ready for the exterminator. I didn't know where to put Lydia while we waited for the exterminator, so we went to Grandma's!
The exterminator came and couldn't find any sign of any bed bugs. He said he thought we must have had a hitch hiker. Lydia just wanted a little pet and to go see Grandma and Grandpa.
 nasty

She had about 20 bites all over

It took forever to do all this. It took even longer to undo all of this.

Sick
While at Grandma's, Lydia got sick. Really sick. Her fever got up to 103.8 and she wasn't eating or drinking. She was up all night and whimpered all day. It was so sad. We took her to the doctor, and they saw blisters at the back of her throat. They said they think she had hand, foot, and mouth, but only in her mouth. We have no idea where she would have caught this, but it went away in a few days. Just in time for her first birthday!
My poor sick baby with glazed over eyes. :(
She was so sad and sick so we gave her a present early. She got to open her baby doll from Grandma Julie!
1st birthday!

Miss Lydia is one! She is now 16 pounds, 10 oz. She has no teeth...still. At her dr. appointment, she met all the 12 month milestones except for pointing at animals and body parts. She says mama, dada, duck, quack, uh oh(uh uh), and up. She loves to eat(especially blueberries) and likes to be as loud as she can. She gets bowls, pans, etc. and screams into them so it echoes. She loves taking baths because the bathroom echoes too. She walks along furniture and can stand for about 5 seconds by herself. We are still working on keeping her heels down and her feet straight. (Preemies often have tight leg  muscles). Lydia loves playing peek a boo. She is starting to play games with me and it is really fun. She lip syncs when music comes on.
For her first birthday, we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We put a tutu on her high chair which was pretty cute. Thomas made pancakes for breakfast and made Liddy sized ones for her. Lydia loves her cousins. When Josiah and Sariah walked into the house, Lydia squealed and bounced up and down. She was SO excited. We had cupcakes and Lydia got her very own cake. She didn't really know what to think about it. She loves food, but apparently not cake. I think it may have been too much frosting and too sweet. She had fun though and got the all clear from the doctor to go out!
We went to the pet store so she could learn how to point--and she did! She had a lot of fun at the pet store. She also went to church. She loved playing peek a boo with the family sitting behind us. She did pretty good, but she wasn't feeling amazing and spit up a lot on her clothes. We ended up leaving after Sunday School.
 Birthday pancakes!

 Drinking bath water...gross
She sits Indian style. It's so cute with those little legs!
 Pointing!

Daddy pushed her around in a doll stroller. She loved it.
Lydia beat up this poor little boy. He cried. She laughed. We have some social skills to work on.
This picture was taken before she fell out the bottom. haha

 She LOVES the store
 What's up doc?
 Easter package from Grandma Julie

She was so excited about her new clothes and just layed on them and played peek a boo with them.
I took the clothes away so I could wash them. This was the reaction I got...

Sick again
Lydia has only been to church and the store twice and she has been sick twice. This time was pretty scary. She is still a little sick, but on the up. She had a fever Monday-Thursday. The fever was not going down. The lowest it got during those 4 days was 99.5. The highest was 102.8. She stopped eating and drinking. She had no drool and she usually has a continuous stream of drool. She didn't have tears when she cried either. Her lips looked pretty dry. She had a little cough, but it wasn't bad. She wasn't sleeping good either. She also had a mild rash on her chest. I called the doctor and she said to come in. She was pretty worried about the hydration. She said the back of Lydia's throat was red so she swabbed it for strep. Luckily, it came back negative! She said the rash looked viral but to keep an eye on it and on her hydration. She said to give her anything she wanted.
Today (Friday) her doctor called to check on her. Isn't that the sweetest thing? I was really impressed by that. I told her that she was drinking more and her fever wasn't near as bad, but her rash had spread. She had me text her a picture of the rash and then she called back. She said it was worse, but that it looked like it was a viral rash. If she scratched the rash, it meant it wasn't viral and we needed to come back in. She also said that if she went 6 hours without a wet diaper or if her fever went back up, we needed to call the office and she would most likely send us to the hospital to rehydrate Lydia. I'm a little nervous, but Lydia seems to be doing better. She isn't completely herself quite yet, but at least she is drinking a little and isn't as lethargic.
I haven't decided if I'm taking her to church this week or not. It depends on how she is feeling and how I am feeling about taking her. I hate seeing her sick. I know she needs to build up her immune system, but I would rather have more than a week between these scares where she gets so sick.

Daddy's Girl
Lydia is a daddy's girl ALL the way. She cries every time daddy leaves for work and squeals and says "dada" every time he come homes. During the day while he is gone, she crawls to our room over to his side of the bed looking for him. She will also crawl to the front door and bang on it. She loves her daddy. He hold her and spoils her and she loves it. I love seeing these two have such a special bond.

 Daily morning meltdown
Thomas got me a jogging stroller for mother's day. Lydia loves being able to face forward and see the world!
Chillin' at the store like the cool kid she is

**As usual, Thomas has a lot of really good pictures on his phone that I need to get and upload on here. This will be happening soon!

11 months old!

I seriously can't believe my little girl is 11 months old. She has gotten so big! I was holding her last night and her body was so long! I remember when we would just tuck her in our shirt and she just slipped right in. She used to weigh nothing and be as big as a Subway sandwich. It's crazy how much she has changed in a little less than a year.

She is doing well. Lydia used to throw up all the time and we would leave a burp cloth out to just wipe it up. I used to have to change her at least 4 times a day because she would spit up on her clothes. She is doing much better now and rarely spits up unless her cousin, Josiah, is holding her. haha. Poor Josiah has been spit up on A LOT.

Milestone wise, she is doing awesome. I am still working a lot with her on keeping her heels down when she stands and picking up her feet when she tries to walk along the furniture. She is getting better, but still likes to be up on her toes. She crawls everywhere and is getting faster. Lydia now prefers to sit while she plays which is really weird to see her sitting all day. All this morning she has been saying "pupupup" when she wants up. I haven't decided if it's a coincidence or if she really knows what she is doing. She does clap and roll her arms. My mom sings the song "clap your hands" all the time and now Lydia will clap her hands when you sing "clap your hands" and switches to rolling her arms when you sing "roll your arms". She loves eating. She prefers food she can pick up like her puffs, baby mum mums, lil' crunchies, scrambled eggs, and mixed veggies. If she is going to be spoon fed, her favorites are strawberry applesauce, baby yogurt, green beans, and butternut squash.

Lydia has quite the personality and let's you know what she wants. She doesn't cry unless she is hungry or tired. The rest of the day she is happy and smiley. Lydia got bubbles from Grandma for Easter and she loves them. When we stop blowing them, she has a meltdown. She occasionally will have a pity party for herself. She cries so pitifully until Thomas picks her up. Then when she sees the TV, she is totally fine. She then turns back to Thomas and cries pitifully. What a faker!!!

She loves her shadow. She has always loved her shadow. She plays with it and thinks it's the funniest thing. She is going to be Peter Pan when she doesn't grow up!

Lydia has a lot of spit. She likes to give kisses and blow raspberries on people's arms, faces, or legs. She will get you very slobbery if you hold her, but she still has no teeth!

Miss Lydia keeps us laughing and entertained. She is fun and funny. We love our little baby!

 Lydia loves reading books!
We went to Vidor to visit family. I was trying on some Vidor clothes for Liddy so she would fit in.
 She is so dramatic!
She is silent and still when Thomas drags her around on a blanket. Silent and still never happens.
This is why we keep the bathroom door closed.

We love having Ellie come play with us!
 Little ballerina!

I hope she always love her reflection this much. She stares in the mirror, laughs, kisses it, lays down on it. She is in love with her reflection and so am I!
I caved and bought her a ball..
 wearing blue for Autism awareness!
 Grumps
I made Lydia some felt cookies to put in her Easter eggs because she kept trying to eat my cookies.
It took a while, but she finally got used to the grass. She would hold her feet up when you tried to put her down because she hated the feeling of grass.

She had lots of fun playing the piano at Grandma and Paw Paw's
I stopped blowing bubbles, so we had a meltdown
 Look at all that spit!!!

 Obligatory 11 month dollar picture
"No, I'm not playing with the fan, mommy!"

Where's the baby? She loves outside.
Eating her yummy veggies! Now I have someone to feed my veggies to!
