Lydia has met all the 4 month milestones and most of the 6 month ones. We are working on sitting right now. She loves to eat green beans and peas. She is not a huge fan of the fruit. I don't know where she gets it. I have a sweet tooth all the way.
Lydia likes going on walks and seeing the outside world. When we take her outside she gets really quiet and just looks around like she is taking it all in. She is a really happy baby (and as I am writing this she is screaming at me). She likes Wheels on the Bus and hates socks. She is a pretty funny girl and knows how to get what she wants(which is usually attention, food, or both).
For those of you who don't know the story behind her middle name: I do not have a middle name. However, my mom felt the need to have a middle name for me when she would yell at me(which was never ;) ). She used to call me Breanna Marie all the time. We needed a middle name for Lydia, so we named her after my fake middle name! Kinda silly, but it works.
Things for us are going well. We are moving to the Woodlands next week. I have mixed feelings. Thomas has a 1 and a half hour-2 hour commute right now and it will change to a 7 minute commute. It will be really really nice to have him around more. We will miss grandma and paw paw though. Lydia loves her grandparents and it has been really fun playing with them. We will, of course, visit. It will be an adjustment though.
Thomas has a medical school interview in March for a school in Washington state which is exciting! He is loving his job and doing amazing at it.
Every year, my mom asks for family pictures from each of the kids so she can put them on the wall. This year we got someone in our ward to do them. She did AMAZING! Lydia wouldn't smile even though she smiles all the time at home. We were outside, so I think she was distracted by the new surroundings. Here are some incredible pictures we had taken! After the good pictures, are pictures from my phone. She is getting cuter and cuter!
I finally did a NICU shadow box
Lydia loves hanging out in our bed
Little miss grumpy pants
It looks like she is pouting, but she is sleeping
She pulled the blanket up over her head
Lydia loves her tongue. She is always sticking it out and blowing rasberries
Look who found her toesies!
She is getting better at holding the bottle herself. I think it's time to potty train now. ;)
Lovin' her Christmas hand-me-down jammies!
